The Pink Bubble

This is a story about a girl who lived 20 years of her life thinking she had it all. A girl who lived 20 years of her life thinking she had the most perfect family anyone could wish for. A girl who lived 20 years of her life thinking there would be no other father better than her Dad. A girl who lived 20 years of her life thinking there would be no other man better than her father. A girl who lived 20 years of her life thinking she won at life; until her bubble burst.

Her bubble burst after 20 years of thinking that the bubble was her life. Her pink bubble burst after 20 years of seeing nothing but the yellow bright sun. Her bubble burst after 20 years of hanging framed pictures of her happy family on the wall. Her scented bubble burst after 20 years of believing that her bubble was the hugest of all. Her bubble burst after 20 years of a life of a happy girl.

Her bubble burst after 20 years, so the girl discovered a life outside the bubble. Her pink bubble burst after 20 years, so the girl discovered that her yellow bright sun wasn’t the brightest out there. Her bubble burst after 20 years, so the girl’s wall of pictures broke down and the glass frames shattered on the floor. Her scented bubble burst after 20 years, so the girl saw that there were gigantic bubbles compared to hers. Her bubble burst after 20 years, only to realize that those 20 years of her life were a lie.

This is a story about a girl who tried to fix her broken family. A girl who tried to save what was not scarred, yet. A girl who tried to glue the shattered glass frames of the family pictures. A girl who tried to plant love in a heart of stone. A girl who tried to teach a soul how to become selfless. A girl who tried to teach a father how to become a Dad. A girl who tried to have the life she thought she had.

A life of a happy family; where the father, the mother and the children see eye to eye. A life of a happy family; where the father is a loving husband. A life of a happy family; where the father is a loving Dad. A life of a happy family; where the father listens more than he speaks. A life of a happy family; where the father’s words heal more than they hurt. A life of a happy family where the father contains his children, not drive them away. A life of a happy family; where the father is the strength of the family, not its weakness. A life of a happy family like the one she thought she had.

This is a story about a girl who quit trying to fix what was already broken. A girl who decided to seal her heart and soul and rise above. A girl who decided to live in a new scented pink bubble and fly up to cloud nine. Maybe there, she will meet a scented blue bubble. Maybe then, the pink and blue bubbles will make a gigantic bubble. Maybe that, will become the life she thought she had.

Just to avoid any confusion, this post was inspired by a dream and I added a dark twist to it. It doesn’t reflect me in real life or even anyone I know. I get weird, sometimes beautiful, dreams most of the time so I simply write them down. And that is how I mainly started writing.
